Our long serving Programme
Manager Bev Lockwood left us at the
end of September and has been replaced
by Helen Rhodes. Helen brings a new
blend of experience to the post with
her extensive background in delivering
services for young people.
We have welcomed Anne
Lidster as a new Trustee. Anne has
a depth of experience in the field
of education at both local and national
level and provides us with invaluable
support in our search for a better
environment for young people in our
locality.
We have reconsidered
the role that RCRP should play in
delivering services to improve the
lives of vulnerable people within
our society resulting in a change
being made in our vision as an organisation.
We now see our vision as follows:
“An Organisation
Committed to Providing Resourceful
Solutions to the Current Social Challenges
Faced by Local People”
After much discussion,
following the change in our vision,
we have also decided to change the
name of RCRP with effect from the
date of our Annual General Meeting
to:
ROTHERHAM
COMMUNITY RESOURCE PROGRAMME
These changes reflect
the need for us to move away from
some of the Community Safety work
in which we have been involved so
successfully for the past 13 years
to work which more accurately reflects
the needs in our community today.
None
of these changes affect the need for
us to maintain an experienced and
very effective core team. We are so
lucky to have an extremely dedicated
and loyal small team of people who
have often demonstrated enormous commitment
to the ideals and vision of RCRP.
It is vital that we continue to keep
this team together to maximise our
success in the future and must therefore
rely on the continuing support of
our sponsors and partners.
